For several months I would awaken to my cat "meowing me to death" in the middle of the night for water even though there was fresh water in her bowl. She preferred having the shower turned on for a minute and then would drink the water on the floor. Ugh. I finally decided it was time to find a fountain that would better serve this insatiable thirst (she's a senior cat and we learned she had kidney issues) and decided to try this product. From day one, no more meowing. Amazing! I finally can get some sleep and she is happy with her new filtered water dispenser! I tried the tulip shaped topper but she prefers the daisy with the multiple streams. I love this product and highly recommend this!
I own 2 cockatiels and use this as a bird fountain. My birds love it. It is very quite so they don’t get spooked. Very easy to clean and fill.
My cat loves his water fountain!!! I think fountains help keep cats hydrated because they love the moving water. Also, there's a filter so no hair or gross stuff that gets in here which is cool. He has another regular water bowl in the other room with his food that I change out regularly but he likes to come in the kitchen and drink out of the fountain!! It has a pleasant, quiet fountain sound and it lights up so it looks super cute at night when he drinks out of it.
I had read that most cats are actually dehydrated (especially those that only eat dry food like mine, he's very finicky) and that it was a good idea to have multiple water bowls throughout the house and to add an ice cube or a little broth sometimes to get them interested in drinking, or else to get a fountain. I'm a worrier and I didn't want to worry about his kidneys and him being dehydrated so I'm really really happy with this purchase. Honestly, I'm a little lazy too and it's nice not having to clean this thing out or refill it very often!
